Award Recipients

Every year the 200 Club of Ocean County recognizes heroic acts of valor by police, fire and first aid.  We also salute those public servants who have selflessly given of themselves for the public good.  We recognize these individuals with Meritorious Service Awards.

Ocean County’s heroes are publicly recognized at an annual banquet held in their honor.  Each recipient is called forward and presented before their peers, family, and grateful citizens with a plaque, 200 Club Watch, 200 Club pin and a cash gift.

To support families of the uniformed services we also award annual “David Ascione Memorial Scholarships” administered by the Ocean County Foundation and open to students who are either personally involved or have a family member involved in the uniformed services.

David Ascione, was a founding trustee of the 200 Club of Ocean County and was deeply involved in the public service of Ocean County throughout his life.
